Today I took the pig sculpture to SCPA to begin working with Ms. Hart and her k-3 students. I realized first that it was more challenging than I first expected to load the pig into a truck and strap it down... After 40 minutes of wrestling with the hog, I had him in the truck. I drove down to SCPA and pulled the pig in on a flatbed cart. I had the opportunity to work with three classes of students today and they each got to paint a 1" square as a piece of the road. (see photos). Having all of the roads complete by the end of this week is the goal, then onto buses and landmarks! Today was exciting as the students entered and saw the pig for the first time, which towered over them all in height and general size.
