Wayne Thiebaud "Tasty Treats" Mixed Media Printmaking
Students studied Wayne Thiebaud's artwork with an emphasis on his desserts. Students were introduced to linoleum carving, tools and procedures in this course before beginning. tudents carved a 5x7 linoleum block and began with simple black and white prints. Once this skill was mastered, students were able to print with multiple colors and to create a mixed media print by adding two other materials to their printed piece.
